Jordanian Royal Medical Services

The Royal Medical Services (JRMS), established in 1941, is a cornerstone of the Jordanian Armed Forces and a leading multidisciplinary healthcare institution with a strong reputation locally, regionally, and internationally.


JRMS operates 16 general and specialized hospitals, 10 comprehensive and primary healthcare centers, 4 mobile field hospitals, and 4 teaching centers offering internationally recognized degrees. Serving approximately 38% of Jordan’s population both civilians and military the system has a total capacity of around 3,565 beds.


The Royal Medical Services is staffed by highly qualified and experienced medical and administrative personnel, with Arabic and English as primary languages, alongside staff fluent in French, Greek, Turkish, German, and other languages.


JRMS is a pioneer in major and complex surgeries, including organ transplants (kidney, heart, liver, corneas) and advanced hematology and oncology care for adults and children. It features specialized centers such as:


  • Heart Center
  • Royal Rehabilitation Center
  • Queen Rania Al Abdullah Children’s Hospital
  • Prince Hussein Center for Kidney Surgery and Organ Transplantation


The institution plays a comprehensive role in healthcare in partnership with the Ministry of Health, university hospitals, and the private sector.
