Specialty Hospital

The Specialty Hospital is a leading private teaching hospital in Amman, established in 1990 and inaugurated in 1993. The hospital has 265 beds and more than 1,100 qualified employees dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care, supported by a multilingual team serving patients from diverse nationalities.


Recognized as a major medical tourism destination, the hospital has treated over 7.5 million patients from more than 160 nationalities under the supervision of over 750 consultants across all specialties. It is internationally accredited and widely recognized for maintaining high standards of healthcare quality.


The hospital is a pioneer in advanced medical technology, being the first and only hospital in Jordan to introduce the Signa Hero 3 Tesla MRI powered by AI, the first CT 512-slice scanner in Jordan, and one of the first to establish a Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Center. It includes 21 operating theatres, a 30-bed intensive and critical care unit, and the largest private-sector NICU with 28 incubators. The hospital also provides air ambulance services.


The Specialty Hospital is a regional leader in cardiovascular and complex surgical care. It introduced minimally invasive cardiac surgery in Jordan and performs advanced pediatric heart procedures, including early-life pacemaker implantations and leadless pacemaker procedures. The hospital has also achieved several national medical milestones, including pioneering laparoscopic donor nephrectomy, pediatric kidney transplantation, endoscopic spine surgery, HIPEC treatment, advanced brain tumor removal techniques, and successfully performing Jordan’s first separation of conjoined twins in 2021.
